Adult Stem Cells Technology - Another Outstanding Breakthrough in Science

In one of my previous posts, I've tackled about potential medical benefits that you could get from umbilical cord blood cells, so having given a chance to write about stem cell technology is not new to me. I don't see it as sensitive issue to post here in my blog and as a matter of fact, I want to post new medical issues not only to educate my readers but to keep myself informed of the new, exclusive and revolutionary breakthrough in medical sciences. So, what it is that I am talking about stem cell technology. For those of you who still do not know what is this technology, particularly women, it involves stem cells found in menstrual blood. I know most women, and most likely, men, see menstrual blood as an icky, gross, unsanitary waste. But, C'elle, the company behind this technology, wants you to see it from being the unsanitary waste into totally new instrument to save or extend lives.
C_elle_kit_image
Yes, you read it right. According to research done by C'elle, our menstrual blood contains cells that can be potentially used for future therapeutic developments and even possibly treat major diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and even Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. I remember the dad of my childhood friend. He went through the difficulty of fighting diabetes. Though his family sent him off for treatments, those weren't enough to survive or even live longer. I wish, this stem cell technology was discovered and studied earlier, so he could have benefited from this medical technology. I am not telling you, guys, that it is too late. With ultra-modern technologies of today, everything is possible now. Let's start realizing that by visiting C'elle site. You can read C'elle Client Testimonial for more information how this technology must not be ignored now. You can as well find the many diseases that adult stem cells, as well as placenta and umbilical cord, can cure in this About the Science section.

My Metrobank Account Is Empty!!! Waahh!!!

I'm feeling very, very nervous today. I don't know if I am the recent victim of online bank account hackers. Just barely an hour ago, I went to UCPB's ATM to withdraw money from my Metrobank account. I knew I still had funds in that account, at least Php3,550 (ate lot's money and her payment for her purchases here in the PI), and another Php2,558 (transferred from my paypal fund). After keying in the amount I wanted to withdraw, the monitor tells that I had insufficient funds! Waaahhh!!! What happened! I didn't want to believe it, so I pulled the receipt from the machine. BUT, written on it was Php38. Not giving in to my fear, though there were butterflies already fluttering their wings in my stomach, I repeated all the process. But still, no insufficient funds! I quickly rushed to this nearest internet shop to check my Metrobank online account. But the same, no fund! I opened my Paypal account, and according to my transaction history, transfer of Paypal fund to my Metrobank online account was completed. Meaning, the fund must be reflected in my Metrobank Savings account by this time. But, wh******ck has happened!!! My funds were all gone and left was only Php38!!! I refuse to think this is another case of online hacking, so tomorrow, I am going to Metrobank office to inquire/complain. But, guys, please! Please help me pray this isn't going to be a nightmare. Huhuhu! I badly need funds now! I am an unemployed individual, a full-time student who is dependent on her father's financial help. Occurrence like this is the last thing I would wish to happen:( :( :(

Why Do You Need Cisco Certification?

For those who want to get an employment in an IT or outsourcing company, better be armed with a Cisco certification to get higher chances of landing a position with a higher compensation. This was what I learned from some of my colleagues who earned Training Certificates from Cisco. They told me that they got the job fairly easier than the others since most of IT and outsourcing companies prefer employees who have finished training programs from this Networking Academy. Though some may be prepared because of their experience in IT companies, still you got more edge if you are a Cisco graduate and the certificate is included in your list of credentials.

Lots of my friends were IT enthusiasts and Computer Science graduates. But, in terms of potentials in the IT companies, they got relatively little chances to securing jobs from them. I also knew some younger people who are very enthusiastic about securing IT jobs. But the same, I doubt if they could have more pots of luck in this industry. Why? Because, they lack the must-have Cisco Certificate. So, being the empathetic friend that I always am, I always advise them to look for schools that have partnered with Cisco Learning Network here in our place. I knew some popular Universities and Schools have affiliated with Cisco, so it isn't as difficult finding this Learning Network as it was during my much-younger years. So, guys, check that out in your place and find the right training program which suits your needs best. By the way, they offer different IT programs, so I know there is one that you will find best for you.

July 24 - Unforgettable First Day, Preliminary Exams

Today marked the start of our preliminary examinations. I have a schedule at 8:45-9:45AM. I have another at 1:00-3:00PM. The first one went well, no problems or any hassles arose in between. More so, I'm confident that I passed the exam. It was easy. After the first exam, I went home to freshen myself up (the temperature's so high up in school), and eat lunch. At 12:30PM, I was on my way to AUL. I was almost late when I reached the gate of the University, so I hurried my pace so I'd be in the assigned examination room right on time.

But that did not happen...

What did?

You'll never imagine it!

I already noticed the way I walked was kind of a little weird after covering like 25meters from the gate of the school, but ignored it for my mind was fully-occupied of the exams. When I was more than halfway of the distance from the gate to the assigned room, it was then that I started to feel there's really something wrong.

My shoes (with 2.5 inches heel), or rather the pressure/weight I put on the shoe on my left leg, turned jelly. Feeling my stomach with butterflies already, I checked by looking down at it behind me.

Good lord, was I so aghast to find out the heel on my right pump had actually come loose! I was aware that, any more pressure put on it, the heel goes off. So, I did not anymore attempt of going further. Instead, turned left and quickly got my weak walk up the little ramp that goes up the ladies room to further examine the thing. I was fortunate enough that there was only a few people and I don't think they understood my predicament; HOWEVER, panic was already rising in me as I knew there's no way I could fix it, and sweat was starting to form on my face.

As soon as I got inside one of the cubicles in the comfort room, I tried to fix the pump's heel but it already gave in. The damn heel even went off completely after several tries of fixing! The temperature suddenly and ridiculously went impossibly high, although it wasn't as hot inside. I tried to remember what the girl did when she experienced the same thing on one of Mentos TV commercials, but my pump shoes are not the kind that you could take off the heels, and use them like they were flat shoes. No, it's simply impossible!

It was a good thing that Annie, a high school best friend, is a regular employee at the finance department of the University, and she rushed in to my aide after sending her a text message. She was always a dependable person in cases like this, but she was laughing hard at my predicament when she brought me a pair of slippers and got me a tri-wheel vehicle so I could go home and change.

As anticipated, I wasn't able to take my Chemistry examination because of that "little accident..."

When I got home, I changed my uniform into civilian clothes. Next, went to the mall to buy a new pair. I got myself a nice, little, black pumps; but, whew! The cost! I also went back to school to ask for a special examination. Thanks to my Chemistry instructor, she allowed me to take it at that very moment. It was really embarrassing; but, heck! I knew I'm not the only person to experience such, ayt?

But, of course, there are lessons.

Ladies, remember these two things:

First, always check your things before leaving.

Second, if you feel like there's something wrong or suspicious in any of your things, trust your instinct that there really is.

So, there! Today was just one of my unforgettable and embarrassing predicaments. I have many of them, mind you. lol!

How about you? Do you have any to tell?:-)

Preserving Your Newborn's Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells Can Save Lives

This is a very important message to all expectant mothers. Don't you know that preserving your newborn's umbilical cord blood stem cells has a lot of potential medical benefits that can help not only you and your family but other people as well? In fact, these preserved cells can extend lives. You can visit the site of Cryo-Cell International for more information of this matter. They have this mission of educating parents, especially the expectant mothers, about how Cryo-Cell can provide innovative and safe solutions regarding cord blood banking. The company currently has more than 150,000 cord blood samples already in its cord blood stem cell bank.

To see how it works, you can read the story of how a family survived their son Nicolas, who was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma, through the help of Cryo-Cell at this site. It came at the time the mother was in her pregnancy, so the situation became very difficult. They tried some treatments including Chemotherapy, but none work on the child. Thankfully, with the help of Cryo-Cell International, Inc., which stored the newborn Nathaniel's umbilical cord blood and used for the treatment, Nicolas is now enjoying his childhood.

Now, why don't we start saving lives? Personally speaking, this company has a great cause by simply offering ways how you can do this. But, as I'm sure not all of you has learned of this innovative medical solution, we can start by visiting the company's site and then enrolling in its Cryo-Cell U-Cord Service, which is available in several options.

Slow Connection At AUL's Internet Facility!

For the third time, I am using up what's left of my paid internet-time here at school. Today's one of those days that internet connection is not cooperating with us students. It's so slow I could have slept here while waiting for the pages to load. It makes me want to retract the review I've written a few days ago - or remove the first part in the pros section and put it into the cons section. I should have written, "internet connection speed is the same internet connection speed we used to suffer from experience more or less fiver years ago." For this day, that line would have best describe the way I waste my time here at the library's internet room (by the way, I wasn't able to include this matter to my review since I was able to discover this internet facility here at the library only today). Is it the internet provider or some glitch at this computer set? Whatever it is, I swear I'm not having the best of internet times today. What I've written (review) may be exaggerated or not; but I've yet to find it out in the coming days. After all, this is the only third time I used this facility.

Hollywood Movie Lines And Flirting!

“The only wrong thing would be to deny what your heart truly feels” – The Mask of Zorro.

I love this line. It happens to us, right? At one point of our life, there got to be a reason why we would not show what our heart truly feels over someone. But, when we get back to our senses, we knew that is one thing that makes us empty; and, thus, deeply regretful. I want to read this line over and over again, probably because my heart is currently nursing a kind of pain I never thought would come at this time. Anyhow, for some reason, I wouldn't want to divulge on this one. Instead, I want to introduce to you guys a fun game created by Extreme Style by VO5 - the Ultimate Flirting Championship. I have tried it and it is really, really fun. The name of this game tells it all. The catch is to try classic, memorable lines that you remember and see if they will work for flirting. Coffee and DVD Party At Julian's Place:)

A few days ago, I received a message from Julian telling me that he got a new coffeemaker. I'm a coffee lover, so one thing that got into my head after reading the message is that his apartment is going to be a great place to hang out with. Well, tonight is the start. We're going over to Julian's apartment to have coffee and watch DVD (Michael Jackson's concert) too.Ü I'm currently nursing a heart-pain because of what happened barely a week ago, so I grabbed this chance to breathe from it all. I wanted to forget everything even for just a while, or a night. Why not? I knew it would do me good for now.

Earlier, Julian met me up at LCC and we shopped mugs for this event:). I'm a yellow girlie, so I chose the yellow mug for me. Talie (Pinkistah) will be there too, so we picked that cute, pink dotted mug. Obviously, pink is her favorite:-) Olops and Charlie might come too, I'm not sure. Even so, we picked the blue and gray mugs for them. This is going to be my first time at his apartment, so I'm excited. Julian has always been meticulous and loves fine things, so I am looking forward to a great, tidy, nice apartment. I'll see you, guys, later!

Why Lasik Is Better For You?

When I was in my early teen years, I loved reading novels and books so much so that I often found myself not stopping until the wee hours of the morning. During these times, my mother never failed to warn me about the negative effects of reading at night with limited visibility. I wish I had paid attention to her words, because now I've got my vision a little impaired, which required me to wear glasses now. Although the case is minor, it can grow serious so I have to be very careful now. The thing is, wearing eyeglasses can be very annoying sometimes. I always thought it's cool to wear this eye corrector thing; however, it isn't exactly so now that I have a pair wearing it.

If you are someone like me who simply finds wearing glasses a hassle, there is one solution perfect for you - LASIK information. I've known about LASIK treatment for some time now, but haven't undergone such procedure for some financial reasons. Nevertheless, I am recommending this treatment because of multiple benefits I knew it comes with.

Here they are:

- It will correct your vision but will never require you to wear glasses or contacts again. In fact, you can ditch your glasses after the procedure because what it does is correct any problem/impairment you got in your eyes via safe and effective surgery procedure.

- The modern LASIK is even better. After a few years, there are improvements made for the convenience and more safety of the patients. It has now a customized treatment procedure combined with the 3D mapping technology, resulting to it being the very first all-laser technology ever to grace the medical industry.

- LASIK surgery finishes fast and nearly painless. However, it is unrealistic to expect there would be no complications at all after the surgery. There is nothing to worry though as complications are minor and resolve over time through the use of prescribed therapy or enhancement treatments.

If you are considering this treatment, note that not all can be a potential candidate for LASIK surgery. Good candidates are considered to be those who don't have thin, irregularly shaped corneas. If you expect unreasonable effects, you can pass on this treatment too. Expect for a 2-hour examination, including customized wave-front measurements of your eye and corneas, and 3-D mapping, of course.

Watch The Old "War Games" Movie - They're Having A Sequel To It!

When someone mentions Hollywood 1980's, first actor who comes to my mind is always Tom Cruise, probably because he was the only famous man I knew back in my childhood years. Yeah, I'm being kind of cheesy right now but it feels great to reminisce your childhood/teen years, right? After all, those were the days when great memories start to pile up at your scallop of your brain. And going back to Tom Cruise movies, of course, when you ask me what movie do I remember most during these years, I knew you know what is it in my mind. It's Top Gun, isn't it? It's not my favorite, but as a kid, it's the most memorable movie for me. Who would ever forget this action-drama-romance Tom Cruise movie anyway? I remember watching it together with my brothers and cousins at their house, and how we react to every fight/action scene. It's my brother's favorite movie, so you can find this movie in his collection.

You may be wondering what brought me to talk about this couple decades-long memory. It's because after 25 years, "WarGames" is back on Thursday, July 24, at select US theaters nationwide. If you remember this movie, it starred the young Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy. When you watch it, you will find how lovely these two kids were. Now that they've grown up into totally fine adults, it's a cool thing to find how, as actors, played their roles on this movie. I'm sure both growing kids and nostalgic adults will love this sci-fi thriller movie, being one about a hacker who gets the chance to play a game with the US Military's war computer.
Temp-image_1_1
This WarGames 25th Anniversary is a must on your movie-to-watch list because they got great news to add to your excitement. They are making a sequel, and that is - WarGames: The Game Code. If you watch the old WarGames movie, you'll not only get the chance to watch never-before-seen interviews, but a sneak peak of that sequel too. So, guys! Enjoy the movie, ohryt! And as for me, I'm sure gonna look forward to watching that sequel too.

My Free Review for AUL's Internet facilityÜ

I'm at school right now, trying to consume part of the 15hours internet time I paid upon enrollment. This was the only second time that I was able to use my internet time here. I wasn't doing anything important right now except one paid post, so why not put my time to charity use? This is for the benefit of Aquinas University. I've been doing paid reviews for some months now, and I thought why not do a free review to my beloved Alma Mater*wink*

I'm putting a review to their internet facility, so here it goes:

Pros
1. Hmm, internet connection is a bit slow*. But as far as I can remember it, today's speed is better than when I was enrolled at this University during my late teen and early 20's of my life. Yeah, I'm old, I know. Ü And in fact, I can do my blogging and open websites at the same time, which you could execute only at high-speed internet.

2. The number of computer sets reaches more than 30 (this was based on my quick count, so not accurate). This is a far cry to the more or less 20 sets (I can't remember it now, blame it to the number of years added to my age hehehe) , which, as students, we always used to impatiently wait for our turn to use one of the desktops back then. In order for us to claim our turn, we have to surrender our white forms to the student assistant on duty for the queuing.

3. Automated logging-in facility. Using internet no longer requires you to surrender your white form for the queuing. One-time registration of your student number and password is the only thing you are required to do. After which, you can use the internet without asking the SA to reserve you a seat. Once there is a vacant desktop, you can log in using your student number and registered password, then surf all you want.

4. Internet room is now big. In fact, this is a lot bigger than the room where we used to squeeze our body in between the wall and the backs of students using the internet facility in order for us to access the computer. I'd be lucky then if the alloted computer desktop is located near the table of the student assistant. Because of the limited internet room space, there were only two rows of desktops and students in view. Thankfully, that is not the case anymore.

5. Nicely-ventilated, air-conditioned room. Air-conditioning unit is working, as in, in top condition. This is another reason why I liked visiting this room. It's so hot outside, so even if there is no need to go online, I'd still go up the second level to escape the extreeemely uncomfortable temperature. Ü

Cons

1. Not enough desktop computers. I've said a while ago the number of computer units increased as compared to older years; however, if you'd consider the thousands of students in this University, it's still not enough.

2. A handful of the computer units are not working. Maybe our computer technicians could repair these units asap, so at least, the number of students deprived to use the facility lessens.

3. There are other days when internet connection is really so slooow. This is understandable since in some cases, it can be the result of poor internet provider's service; however, they could have at least inform us by putting some sort of announcement at the door.

I can't think of any cons anymore, so I'd conclude it here now. As we can see, my personal review shows pros outweigh cons. Therefore, I can say that Aquinas University has gone a long, long way if you compare it to the days when I and my former batchmates were still walking our life together in this University.

A Potential To Be Part Of Haraya?

I have talked to one of the Haraya, a local newspaper, people just minutes ago through YM. We discussed the possibility of me being part of the paper. And what can I say about it? Sweet!!! Some few months ago, I read one of the papers that are out on the circulation , but didn't get myself burying my nose from cover to cover. But even though I only happen to read one article from that paper, I already thought myself being a part of the group who worked hard to release Haraya on the local circulation. But that was just a thought - nothing else. I wasn't so sure then how I could penetrate the group. I don't know anyone close to me who is connected to Haraya, so I wasn't actually ardent at getting into them. Besides, I don't trust my writing skills yet. So, that thought of writing for Haraya ended there.

Until one day, Troy, a close friend, and I were taking our snacks at the University canteen. He accidentally mentioned Haraya and knowing I've been an online writer for the past four years, he asked me if I want to be part of it. I said yes, but that answer was the result of my subconscious only talking. He said, he'll give my contacts to a one person connected to the paper. I wasn't so serious about that talk, so was I so surprised when Erik, supposedly the "hubby" of Arcee, a former co-writer at USAUTOPARTS NETWORK, talked to me about my potential to be part of Haraya. Our initial talk was fun because I mistook him as the Fred I knew as the hubby of Joya, a former colleague at the University. I don't have any inkling that he was actually the man whom Troy gave my contacts. So, boy, was I so surprised to hear from him! And we talked how I can go into the group. He asked me things and suggested what to do and how I can contribute to the paper.

Now, I'm looking at things the most positive way. Suddenly, I am gonna be doing things I love doing and things that I knew would help grow me into an even finer personality. Although, I still don't trust myself prospering into this one aspect of my life, at least, I could say in the future -- I have tried it. Right? First thing I'd do is to meet Haraya people. On friday, we're gonna be attending an event at Chateau Noveau. I'm gonna be watching how they are gonna showcase their artistic minds as well as learning how they cover such an event. Let's see how I fare into this one, eh? So, all luck to me now!

Is This Really A New Phase Of My Life?

1. Picked a new school shoes yesterday from a shoe store at The Pacific Mall;
2. Picked my school uniform-pants at Terry's Dress Shop yesterday;
3. Picked my school uniform-blouse just 30minutes ago from the same dress shop;

In short, I'm now ready to be the true AUL college student again... I mean, I've been attending classes almost a month now, but I don't wear school uniform (I was given exemption and a period of time to be in civilian clothes as consideration to my being a returnee). Last second semester, I was exempted since I was employed by a BPO company then. But now, since I'm no longer employed, school policy says that I've to wear the same get-up other students are wearing.

So, I'm back to my old school (University). More than five years ago, this is the picture of me: a school girl completely clad in black pants, white blouse, school ID, and black school shoes. Save from the blouse, which has an AUL patch now at the right collar, it's kind of a weird feeling that I'm gonna wear that same picture starting tomorrow.

All things happening with me lately were very far from few months ago. This is like an entirely new phase of my life; but in reality, it is just like a repeat of the past. And while I'm currently in this repeat chapter all because of my being irresponsible and careless in that past, I'm not ashamed because what matters now is how I've become stronger from that failure.

Some may be wondering what I am doing at my old school at this age, but I am proud to say that I am correcting the errors of that past now. And unlike before, I can say with conviction and certainty that my direction in life now has a new, more concrete, and clearer path.

Got My Thumb and Forefinger Burned :(

While we we're doing an experiment at our Chemistry laboratory, I accidentally got my thumb and forefinger burned. We we're trying to bend, draw, and break glass tubing with the help of the flame coming from the gas burner. I wasn't careful with the damn hot object. Without thinking I suddenly touched that part of the glass tubing. Stupid and careless me! After the contact, it released a quick numbing pain, so I suddenly squealed in horror! Damn laboratory experiments! It's the reason why I hate science subjects, much less the complicated lessons and discussions. I'd rather bury my nose on mathematic books and indulge in mathematics classes. I've always hated laboratories and experiments. They always smell terribly, and they aren't too safe always. And that is also the reason why I can't see myself taking up medical courses, like nursing, dentistry, medicine, and stuff like that. Apart from being very expensive to fund with, the requirements and laboratory examinations/experiments are like, ewww to me!lolÜ

Well, I need to graduate so I've no choice but to take this General and Inorganic Chemistry laboratory. I'd soon graduate, and I'm looking forward to that. Because that means, no more chemistry and science subjects for me! Yey!

I Am A Proud and Earning Mommy Blogger Ü

Some of my former co-employees might be wondering what I've been doing after filing my resignation letter from the company I have worked with for almost four years. Well, I've been busy with school. My daily routine of 6days a week starts from waking up at not-so early in the morning (Thank God my schedule starts at 9:30am), then going to the University. Lunchtime, I go home to freshen myself up and, of course, eat lunch food (there's nothing like homecooked food to satisfy one's stomach:)), usually prepared my ma or my younger brother. I go back to school after lunchtime, then go into another grueling challenge of being a full-time student.

At the end of the day, I would go home then watch television, or fiddle with my personal computer. When there's enough time and when I'm feeling still active, I go to malls to see things to buy for myself or for my son, Yad.

My life isn't that too challenging to you, is it? It's boring and financial-wise, there's nothing much to expect for, right? You ask where am I getting money for my tuition fees, personal needs, and as well as to my son's needs? Well, my father pledged to help pay my school fees. However, while I am currently a full-time college student, I can't say I am not earning income. In fact, money continues to roll into my paypal account and to my bank account. How? Well, if you've been a regular visitor of this site, you will learn about SocialSpark because I've posted about it a few times.

Yes, it is through SocialSpark why even when I am not currently employed by any company, I still get to enjoy what I've enjoyed when I was still employed by the autoparts company only a month ago, as far as monetary needs are concerned. It's because of the opportunities that SocialSpark is providing to us mommy bloggers. The site is basically a way to connect advertisers and bloggers so both benefit from it in several ways such as Spark opportunities, Blog Sponsorship, and Posted Sponsorship.

So, if you are a mommy blogger too and you want to earn income while attending to your children, you are very much welcome at this site. You can sign up using your email add and your own blog/site anytime. Just take a look at the site to see what I am saying, alright? I'll see you there! And wait! Don't forget to add me up, okay?

The Scent Makes Me Miss Him So Much...

Gawd, I'm terribly missing someone:( It must be the male cologne scent that wafted through the air just seconds ago. It's the same scent he always wear and the smell brings back memories, all happy memories. *sigh*

I'm Sick and I Missed Blogging...

I missed blogging for several days and I'm itching to post yet another not-so important event in my daily life, but right now I'm too ill to start it. I've been stricken with colds and cough and this sickness has been draining my energy for a couple of days now. I can't concentrate fully with the class discussions in my subjects at school and I can't afford to be in front of the computer for long since I believe it saps physical strength off me. So here, I won't be long and I'm just saying hello to everybody visiting and reading my blog.

Ciao! Hope I'd be back soon to write posts again... As of now, I'm gonna take a rest and take meds as well.

Coffee and Puto-Kutsinta For Meryenda (Snacks?

Coffee and Puto-Kutsinta for my afternoon snacks at the University. I'm a self-confessed coffee lover. It's one addiction that I can't easily get off my system. Everyday wouldn't be complete without this beverage. I take one cup after getting up in the morning to give me the kickstart and another in the afternoon to quench my caffeine-addiction. Puto-Kutsinta is one of my favorite native delicacies. I don't know exactly what ingredients are used to come up with kutsinta, but I'm sure gonna ask or research on this. To compliment the taste, you usually pair it with grated coconut. It's been ages since I've eaten this food, so the moment my eyes laid on the platter full of this puto-kutsinta, I didn't think twice what food to order at the school canteen. I even made a second trip back to get another plate. Yum yum!

Give Your IT Experience The Needed Boost W/ CISCO

In case you haven't read one of my blog posts, for your benefit, I am going to post another one about Cisco certification and why you should have it. We all know that in today's operation of business, everything comes out fast and convenient because of highly-automated computers and electronics. Meaning, if you are not equipped with enough knowledge, it can be difficult for you to secure yourself a really decent and high-paying job. That is the reason why, anything you have acquired from the college classrooms years ago, you should not be content with it because there are still various ways how you can augment your knowledge. One is taking a refreshment or short-term computer courses, or also training programs, which you can acquire from different organizations or schools catering to said enhancement courses.

But because you want to enhance your computer knowledge, make sure you are going to get it from a reputable and widely-respected provider so you'd get only the right credibility builder program. The Cisco Learning Network is one that you can truly rely on when it comes to seeking further knowledge in computer programs, particularly networking, routing, switching, and a lot others. Cisco Certifications are available in different levels: Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert, then Specialist. All these levels are made especially available to those who want a wide career growth, increase in IT experience, or you simply want to have a stable and fruitful career ahead of you. All Cisco trainings are specially-designed and formulated to let all those who are taking them up bring their expertise on their IT field as well as help them achieve their personal goals and success.

Finally, I Am Officially Enrolled!

Congratulations to me! I finally have finished my enrollment procedure and I am now officially back to being a full-time student. I was able to take just enough number of units for the semester. I hope I can get all remaining units in the next semester. If not, I would be extending my schooling time until the summer of 2009.

After over two weeks since start of classes, I am now ready to face the challenges of being a student. Today was my first day, and because of being a late enrollee, I had missed some of the introductory lessons. No worries though, as I can catch up anytime.

I'm what you would call really, really old returnee at the University, but it's a good thing for me to see older faces. These older faces consist of several colleagues in the past, most of whom are instructors/professors already of the school. Julian, a former officemate, is also enrolled. So, my old friends and classmates may no longer be my school companions, at least I have these wonderful people to talk in the canteen, in the college office, or just outside by the guard's quarters. *sigh* old memories coming back :-(

Now, I won't be experiencing what most old returnees encounter after taking a leave off school for a long time. Returnees often encounter this feeling of alienation because somehow, they feel like they are entering a new school for a reason that a lot of changes can be seen inside and outside. Old colleagues, old batchmates, old classmates, and old school friends are nowhere to be seen and whom you see, except from old instructors and clerks/officers, are almost complete strangers: new classmates, new friends, new buildings.

Buildings were not the same, as well as their locations. My college, for example, is now different. I'm no longer a part of the CAS family. Instead, I belong to PI. No, not the pi = 3.14159265 that you know in Mathematics. PI is Polytechnic Institute. Science, Engineering, Architecture, and Fine Arts are under PI house. It's kind of odd, yeah? I am enrolled at a University, but my course program belongs to an Institute, and not even a College? Well, I figure, we'll have to wait years before it gets elevated and accredited by PAASCU.

Apart from the old faces, the only thing that did not change is the difficulty of tracking your records. Yes, same old school. Although most of the records in the offices or colleges were now automated, by using computers and online software applications to record students' information, they were not centralized. Which means, you have to go to one office to another in order that you complete your transaction. In fact, it would take not only a day but several days before you can complete a specific transaction you entered with them. Well, at least it's not like the world we knew five years ago, like what I remember was a slooww-paced, old-fashioned, manual way of transactions.

So, here's hoping I can do better in school now than before? An old colleague from school asked me how serious I am now with my studies. Damn, I'm dead serious at graduating in the next semester or no more than the summer next year! Take it from me, an old JIRLIE who needs to prioritize things now. So, see ya at my next post!

Cool Bling Gnome In Dangerous Dungeons

Unknown-1

I happen to learn the new MMORPG (read: massively multiplayer online role-playing game) just recently. I am not an MMORPG addict, and I normally ignore this kind of online games (although I sometimes find myself enjoying when watching other gamers who look really absorbed at the grueling fights they make against the characters of the game). However, I gotta admit that I my interest got tickled by this new-in-the-net video game after seeing it live online because of two things: it has got many exciting adventures and features, such as the new Bling Gnome; and... it's FREE TO DOWNLOAD! Yes, you read it right. This online video Dungeon Runners game can be downloaded anytime, whenever you are ready to start having fun with it - or with your friends or siblings.
Along with your adventure in the magical realm of this MMORPG set in a 3D fantasy dimension, you have a Bling Gnome to keep it easy for you to hurdle the challenges in your quest to go through the dangerous dungeons and fight monstrous creatures or some icky things. The Bling Gnome makes this adventure a lot handy by saving you the hassles of picking up loots. Everything it picks up, it turns to gold. So, that's cool, eh?It looks like a gangster, but it is what you need so you not only discover loots but artifacts and weapons without much effort. You go on with your adventure, while it takes care of your needs.
This is just an overview of the game, but if you want to know more, you can download and play it. Just like what I am planning to do after doing this post for you. You bet! I am going to play and have fun with it!
