An Update To My Missing Metrobank Funds

This is an update to my Metrobank account's supposedly missing funds. Thank God, the funds were still there. According to Metrobank, it may be a case of technical glitch on the Bancnet ATM. In the case of my Paypal transfer, the fund was reflected in my bank account 4days after. What happened was that I panicked because according to the account history, the fund transfer was completed. I thought that would mean, the amount will automatically reflect on my bank account. But with further "delving" into Paypal website, I found out that it isn't always the case. Paypal may have transferred the withdrawn amount, but the bank to which it would be deposited may take 5-7 days before it can be completely processed. So there, just a minor case of ATM technical glitch and a little case of irresponsibility in my case. Irresponsibility because, it was my responsibility to read all rules and regulations of Paypal the moment I signed up with them; but then, I didn't. :-) Anyway, to Razhiel and Maids, and to all others who left a message and prayed with me, thank you, guys!

My Metrobank Account Is Empty!!! Waahh!!!

I'm feeling very, very nervous today. I don't know if I am the recent victim of online bank account hackers. Just barely an hour ago, I went to UCPB's ATM to withdraw money from my Metrobank account. I knew I still had funds in that account, at least Php3,550 (ate lot's money and her payment for her purchases here in the PI), and another Php2,558 (transferred from my paypal fund). After keying in the amount I wanted to withdraw, the monitor tells that I had insufficient funds! Waaahhh!!! What happened! I didn't want to believe it, so I pulled the receipt from the machine. BUT, written on it was Php38. Not giving in to my fear, though there were butterflies already fluttering their wings in my stomach, I repeated all the process. But still, no insufficient funds! I quickly rushed to this nearest internet shop to check my Metrobank online account. But the same, no fund! I opened my Paypal account, and according to my transaction history, transfer of Paypal fund to my Metrobank online account was completed. Meaning, the fund must be reflected in my Metrobank Savings account by this time. But, wh******ck has happened!!! My funds were all gone and left was only Php38!!! I refuse to think this is another case of online hacking, so tomorrow, I am going to Metrobank office to inquire/complain. But, guys, please! Please help me pray this isn't going to be a nightmare. Huhuhu! I badly need funds now! I am an unemployed individual, a full-time student who is dependent on her father's financial help. Occurrence like this is the last thing I would wish to happen:( :( :(

Metrobank Server Failure

How about not having any access to any Metrobank atms, or even other atms, for more than 24 hours already? What if it is the only bank that you have an account for your money savings and nothin else? What will happen if your infant is running out of milk supply and you don't have credit cards with you? What if you got emergency financial obligations but you cannot withdraw from the funds of your account because the server nationwide is down? What will you do? Borrow money? But the thing is, you can't always rely on other people's help if they too are experiencing dilemma with you.

See, Metrobank, Philippines? This is the first time that we encountered your system offline for more than 24 hours. It is a hassle that can do affect many people's financial dilemma. You can't even take the simple protocol of providing advisory to your loyal customers. This is one thing that could've stopped us from fearing wondering what really happened behind this fiasco.

Did you, guys, have your main server or system attacked by suspicious/illegal transactions? Or did that system failed because of a huge net virus and abruptly corrupted your database and files? Whatever it is, inform us that we can't do transactions with you because your server is down! It is one little thing that you owe us and could help us big in these difficult times...

So, because this unwanted failure can occur anytime in the future, I am thinking now of using other bank services, which can allow us to shop or spend when we ran out of cash and no ATM machines dispense money. Well, credit cards are the perfect prospect for now, right? So, okay, I'm going to check what banks offer the best credit card services.
