Busy October For Me!

I didn't mean to neglect this blog, but some things have been putting my hands to other use, which is of course, doing freelance job and being a serious University student. I missed this blog. I have only happened to do a couple posts yesterday due to a deadline for a sponsored post.

Anyway, this October will be a busy month for me. Priority of course is my freelance writing. After all, that's where I derive income resources. lol! Since I have no other income sources, I am hoping that my current employer gives me more project after completing the first one. I need to earn more moola for my second semester's tuition fees, for my dental braces, dental works for Yad, plus Christmas gifts to my brothers, Yad, mam and papa, and of course, to my godchildren (Whew, got lots of them!).

Speaking of second semester, that's going to be a good month away. Because on the second week (oct. 9-11) of this month, that will be our finals! That makes it second in line to my long busy list. (At long last, I'm almost there! 1 semester to go! Yahoo!) And that means, I have to work my head off studying to ensure I don't fail in my subjects. (Please, please, my dear teachers?;P)

On the 11th, that's Saturday, I'm going to attend the baptismal ceremony for the son of my childhood friend cum cousin. I am going to stand as one of the "ninangs" (godmother to you please). Hhmmm, what dress shall I be wearing? And the gift?? Oh my, time and expenses again! I would have to remember too that on the same day is my final day of my final examinations. I wish I won't be late at the baptismal.

A very close friend (along with her close friend too) is coming over in the mid of this month. She's going here for us to attend a wedding of a very close friend, Toti, and a classmate back from college, Cecile. Oh, how do impossible things from the past make themselves possible in the future (or present, ces and toti?) Talk about destiny!

Burns and Lili will be here in Legazpi from October 17-20.

So what does that mean? 4 busy days with them, what else! Because they sure are gonna ask us to devote our precious times to them since we don't see each other that often. Hmmm, I can already picture where to go in these times. Buang, Mayon Rest House, and Cagsawa Ruins to tour Lili around? Burns says this girl wants to explore this city and nearby towns while they are here. Good thing, she'll be bringing her car. At least, there'd be no hassles with commutes. So, all in all, they are here not only for the wedding but to vacation as well. And that means, we need to take time off for them as well. Busy indeed!

If all plans of touring Lili around here push through, I promise I will be posting some pictures and information re beautiful tourist spot destinations here in Legazpi City. This is for the benefit of my readers from different parts of the world, to have an idea what my place looks like. Of course, I will be doing that as soon as possible if I'm not busy with freelance writing. If I am, I'd still do it, though I think it will be delayed.

Speaking of the wedding, this reminds me that I am yet to post in this site the wedding invitation card. Toti gave it to me last week after just arriving from Qatar. Cecile, by the way, will be coming over fresh from Dubai for her BIG DAY. Yes, both groom and bride are working abroad. They did the wedding planning courtesy of some close people.

Anyway, going back to the card, it was simple yet elegant on its own. There are no silly, frilly things there. Just the embossed rubbery letters/names on it. I am going to upload the pictures here later as my tribute to the upcoming wedding of our dear friends.

And... speaking of the wedding again... Did I read somewhere in the card about the formal attire? Oh wait! What dress and shoes to wear again?? Do I still have the money for them? I only have 15 days to go to cough up the money and to search for those needshuhuhu

So there! My pretty little hands are full this October. But before I wrap up this long list, I don't want to forget to include that I need to go to Manila sometime this October. Though I'm not sure yet as it will depend on all the budget. Sigh! So many things to do, so little money to spend. How difficult to earn money these days! Anyone who want to donate? Peach, you're not the only needing moola! I got my own paypal account too! Lol!

My Birthday Gifts This Year!

Just for the purpose of showing how grateful I am, I am posting these photos to thank my dear friends and kins for the birthday gifts they gave me:-)

First off, Burns bought me this Nafnaf baby tee when we went out SM Cubao malling last January (yes, five months before my actual birthdate. She's that thoughtful and way prompt, really... hehehe. Love yah, Burns!). I visited her and Baby Zyv after I attended the funeral of my late Auntie Inday at Sanctuarium. She also let me ride on her credit card purchases when I saw a nice red-and -white polka dot baby doll flats and a white shirt. Plus, together with Fhurer and Epoy, she bought us dinner to Hap Chan Chinese restaurant in the same SM mall. Thanks, thanks, thanks, Burns! You've always been the most generous friend in the group and while others would sometimes forget my day, you are my best friend who never fails to remember it and even on other special days. Miss yah and your most adorable baby ZYV!

Second to the list, a therapy pillow. Although Yel, another dear and very best friend forever, didn't indicate it was a birthday gift (she also gave Ryan one, a Kerokeroppi-designed therapy pillow), I included it in the list. Gave it to me when she visited Legazpi City on March for the Holy Week vacation while we're having a cup of coffee at Southern Cafe. I asked her what was it for, and if it is for my birthday. Said, just a token of being a friend to me. But since it was two months off to my birthday, I decided it was a birthday gift hehehe. Yel was always the sweetest friend of mine. Like Burns, she's also one of those whom I can trust to spill my dirty secrets over and still not care whether they'd betray my trust for them simply b'coz I knew... they wouldn't. Heart you, Yel. Thanks for this uber-cute gift. My officemates loved it as well. They envy me, in fact, especially Pinkistah, b'coz it' s pink. lol

This one on the right photo was the third gift I received. It was from Ces, another dear friend, who is working in Dubai. Wait, that's me in the picture, I know. But that funky black-and-white summer tote bag I am carrying was the gift Ces gave me. It was intended as a pasalubong, but again, just barely two months off to my natal day, so I also listed it here in my post. I love the bag! It's just too perfect for my summer getaways. Ces was not one in my college group (she has another), but we talk a lot often way back then. And up to now, we still talk about life, life, life, and life. Thanks, Ces! I'm excited at the upcoming BIGGEST EVENT in your life this October! Mwuah!

My favorite cousin, Ate Lot, who is in Australia right now, sent me a little package as her birthday gift for me. I received it on the last week of April. I love the three fashion necklaces, one funky and two chunky. (I'd post the pics later) I don't have the pictures yet, but in the photo above, I was wearing one of them. The package also contains a beautiful dress, a lovely satiny, pink tunic, and a black bolero. Love them all because they all look great in me! lol Ate, you sure know what looks great in me and what's not. Bunch of thanks, ate! Mwuah mwuah mwuah!

Of course, I wouldn't end this post without mentioning that my co-workers gave me a gift - a cash gift. Ü I guess, they couldn't think of what better gift to give me, so they handed me the cash instead. What a thoughtful way of gift-giving. I remember my childhood days when my ninang and ninong hand me several Php hundred bucks hehehe... By the way, I am correcting my last post. I mentioned that my co-workers didn't give me a birthday gift. It turned out they were to hand it on Tuesday. Thanks loads, my dear co-workers!

I know some of you may be wondering where were the gifts from my family and My Hubby? Well, Hubby isn't the type who'd give you gifts on special days. Kinda sad, but in fairness to him, he'd always give me gifts on ordinary days when I wasn't expecting it.Hhhmmm...you'd call it thoughtful, wouldn't you? Perhaps... but no comment from this author hehehe. My family didn't give me a gift, but they bought and prepared birthday food for the whole family to celebrate.

So, there... This post may not mean to others, but it does a lot to me... I feel so grateful for having these wonderful people around me. You are all what keeps me going on with my life. Thank you so much!

Bye Holy Week! Hello Office!

Holy week's almost over and less than couple days and we're back to work. Vacation's off and once again, we gotta move on and face the reality - responsibilities (aka work). I wish I had more week to just lounge around home, sleep at anytime of the day, watch our favorite television shows, chomp down my fave chips, play pc games, and just sit down and sip coffee, or just doin' nothin. *sigh*

Except for the work backlogs I'm trying to catch up on at home, I've been doing nothing for the past 4days. I could've went out with friends and go swimming, but I preferred staying at home. It's the only time that I'd have my complete rest and bond with Yaddy, so I didn't think of trading these precious days for gimmicks.

Gimmicks would have to wait. Me and my friends got summer vacation plans about going to Caramoan, Camarines Sur on the third week of April. And May month would be either at La Union or Puerto Galera again. I hope all May plans would materialize, but it all depends on the availability and willingness of the group.

Haayy, just thinking of the bond and fun times we will have together makes me miss them! It's been a while since we went out to swim. College gimmicks were always about overnight swimming, and everytime, it's always fun! Unfortunately, these days are not exactly like college days. Everyone's so busy with their own affairs I think it would be hard to synch our time together. So, I guess, I'd just pray hard that these May summer getaways would allow us to bag our sunblock lotions, swimsuits, flip-flops, hats, and of course, our stories and laughs to share once again with the group.
