I Can Feel The Christmas Spirit... And I'm So Excited

I've been thinking of something to blog but I couldn't come across any interesting stuff to write in here although I knew I have some things I promised will be posted here. But I'm too lazy to do it now and I have some freelance work to do. Anyway, I just want to say hi to all readers who visited this site and those who keep coming back. I hope we all have a great friday ahead of us. It's TGIF, so I guess most are excited for the weekend. And oh! Few more days and it's gonna be December. Last night when I, Epoy and his sister Ate Bon strolled at the mall to buy stuff, I kept telling them that at this early I could already feel the Christmas spirit; and with great enthusiasm I looked at the holiday decors and Christmas stuff around full of hope and light.

I don't know the reason but I am very excited and thrilled to welcome the holiday. Maybe something exciting and good are up for me in the coming month. I have a slight feeling too that starting this Christmas season, all things in my life are gonna be put on track and in places where they rightfully should be. I don't know what those are, but I hope they really are good and promising for me. Anyway, one thing is for sure I am gonna embrace those with great warmth in my heart and optimism in my mind whatever those are. In the meantime, gotta have some work to do. So, have a great one to all of us, alright?

Aja!

Christmas Season Is Almost Near

It's the first Ber month of the year, and before we knew it, Christmas is already fast approaching. I think I'm also starting to feel a little cold Christmas breeze now, although during the daytime the temperature can still go so impossibly high. And with the local FM radio stations starting to play Christmas songs and carols, there's no denying now the season is a mere three months away. *Sigh, I'm starting to miss My Other Half again:-(*

At school, we are already in the middle of the first semester of the year. When it ends come October, I still have 1 semester to go through. Just thinking of fighting the remaining months until I finish all subjects I had dropped many years ago, and graduate (am crossing my fingers here!) on April the following year makes me restless. I couldn't keep myself still. I keep on thinking of the next venture that I am about to undergo after graduating. Sometimes, the thought of going into a totally strange place and dealing with equally strange people and environment makes me nervous that in effect almost made me chicken out from my plans and goals. But I know I have to be brave, else, I wouldn't become the person that I should have been years ago. I couldn't let my fear and weakness consume me for the reason that I love my son, Yad, and my family so much that I am ready to sacrifice and do anything just so they would have a great and convenient life.

Now that Christmas season is almost here, I know it wouldn't be long till I accomplish those goals. Although at this time of year it always makes me a bit sad, because of the lost years and happy times, there is so much to hope for. In the past years, there were few Christmas seasons that brought me nothing but anxieties and depressions but I don't want to let that happen ever again with me. I am going to think of Christmas as a happy time when people are reunited, are giving gifts, are hugging and loving each other because Jesus Christ is now born to be here with us.

Hey, is it too early to greet you all a Merry Christmas?

'Coz, I just wanna wish that we all have a Christmas with so much love and grace.

On a different note, I want to greet HAPPY GRANDPARENT'S DAY TO ALL GRANDPAS AND GRANDMAS out there! I hope you guys already gave your grannies little gifts and love. :)My grandpas and grandmas on both paternal and maternal sides have reunited with Papa God, nevertheless, I want to send to them my love and greetings. I knew they are just there watching over us, especially my Papay Onofre.

It's past my bed time already, so I am wishing you now sweet dreams tonight!

Ciao and goodnight!

Let's All Be Nutty for Once In A While!

Most of the time, I'm a serious person. Meaning, I treat everything that happens around me as a serious matter to be considered at. It doesn't mean, however, that I am what you would call a kill joy individual. Though, I always have this tendency to explain things in a rational way, I have some weird, or what RD would call, quirky things about me. First, I cry easily and that is the reason why it has always been hard for me to engage in a heated argument, as even before I can lay down all my arguments/points I’m already sobbing hard. Second, I laugh easily, even on small, corny jokes. Sometimes, I become the easiest person to laugh on things.

I had my silly or stupid moments as well. Did it happen on you when you were saying the wrong things (wrong things include wrong grammar, silly lines, etc) in front of all people and you just wish you'd shrink in the ground where you were standing because of extreme embarrassment? I did! It was one Christmas event with co-workers at a company I used to work with.

I was selected as one of the 10 best-dressed/costumed participants. When it was my turn to say a few lines about my costume/character, my heart was already beating fast even before I could talk so that all that I’ve been blabbering about were not only inappropriate things, but matched with wrong grammar. I was aware of it, you know. It’s just that I couldn't talk further to correct my words because I was already shaking due to nervousness. Until now, I can’t imagine this most embarrassing moment happened to me. Me, the Jirlie who likes everyone to see her as the neat, serious, and coherent woman was seen/heard with such quirky stuff?

But, yes! No one’s perfect! We all had our share of embarrassing moments, in one way or another. I know we almost wanted to kill ourselves during those times, but what the heck! What's important is to always remember that no matter how stupid we may think we look or feel, people are busy with their own stuff it’s most likely they never paid attention. I got other weird things about me, but I think, that's enough for my embarrassment. Now, table's on you! You got nutty side in you, I'm certain, yes? Why don’t you share it at Reader's Digest? Are You Normal or Nuts? You want to read stuff about nuttiness, quirkiness, and even stupidity? Right! There is a section called Are You Normal or Nuts? in Reader's Digest Laughs. C'mon now! Let's all be nutty for once in a while!
